Dear Artists,
Botånica hosts residencies made up of both international and local residents who come together to think, work, discuss and collaborate in our centrally located space in Tulum Centro City.
We welcome artists and non-artists across all fields to cultivate their personal creative work through dedicated time & space along with interdisciplinary and cross-cultural connections, conversation and collaboration.
Active observation, dialogue and reflection are viewed as essential components of creative thought, allowing for expanded understanding of ideas, information, traditions, processes and experiences across countries, disciplines and practices.
We aim to provide a lasting experience as part of a growing network of international artists, creatives, and thinkers.
Residencies include
Housing
Sharing of creative work with other residents and partners
Presentations, conversations and practices with visiting artists and creatives
Photo documentation of your work and process by a local photographer
Meals (lunch or dinner) three times / week with fellow residents and guests
Initial meetings and orientation to Oaxaca
Assistance with on-site creative development, introductions and navigation of the area
Access to common workspace in the residency house
Airport pick-up and transportation to the residency upon arrival
